See how democracy is enacted at the local level by participating in or viewing this abridged production of the theater piece "City Council Meeting." "City Council Meeting" is a performance of empathy, democracy and power, created fresh in each city where it is presented, with local artists, activists, government officials and other citizens. This performance is led by the students in the first-year seminar "Is Politics a Performance?" (FRS 143) and based on their observations of city council meetings in Princeton, Trenton, and other cities in the fall.

What to expect:
Audience members can either watch or take on a role, such as a council member, activist, or concerned citizen.

Meet the facilitator:
The session will be led by Aaron Landsman, lecturer in theater in the Lewis Center and co-creator of "City Council Meeting". This performance is sponsored by ProCES, the Program for Community-Engaged Scholarship.
